Indian Institute for Science (IISc), Bengaluru is a public university for scientific research and higher education. It was founded in 1899 with active support from Jamsetji Tata it is also locally known as the "Tata Institute".

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent, or

Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree holders in Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Electronics followed by qualifications obtained through an examination conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE, or

Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree holders in Architecture/Design (for M Des program only), or

Candidates must have Master’s degree holders in Science disciplines including Physics with Electronics/ Instrumentation/Geology/ Computer Application/ Physical Sciences/ Mathematical Sciences as applicable to individual department offering M Tech programs.


Selection Procedure:
Screening will be done on the basis of GATE score, a written test and a personal interview. Except for Instrumentation, Transportation and Infrastructure Engineering where admissions will be on the basis of GATE scores

Application Fee Payment:
1. Online: Net banking, Visa Card/Master Card, Debit/Credit Cards
2. Offline: Through E-Challan payment (SBI )
