The admission process of Bachelor of Science (B.S.) course offered by Indian Institute of Science Bangalore is as follows:

Admission Eligibility:
A first class or 60% or equivalent grade (relaxed to pass class for SC/ST students) in the II PUC / 12th Standard examination in the following subjects-Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects during their II PUC / 12th Standard

OR
Biology, Statistics, Electronics, Computer Science, etc., in addition to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

Students who are expecting to complete their II PUC / 12th Standard in are eligible to apply.

Selection Procedure: Students will be selected on basis of any of the following:

1. KVPY:
KVPY-SA [appeared and selected for the Fellowship]
KVPY-SB [appeared and selected for the Fellowship]
KVPY-SX [appeared and selected for the Fellowship]
KVPY Fellows selected through the Empowerment Initiative for SC/ST candidates

2. IIT-JEE-Main: Appearing and securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PH).

3. IIT-JEE-Advanced: Appearing and securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PH).

4. NEET-UG: Appearingand getting selected in the main merit list.

Admission Application Procedure: Students have to apply online. They have to register first and then log in to fill the Application Form.

Admission Application Fees: The application fee is Rs.400/- for GN/OBC/KM students and Rs.200/- for SC/ST/PH categories.

Only one application is entertained for each of the programme.

Candidates should not submit 2 applications for one programme.

Such application will be rejected.

Application Forms which are incomplete are liable to be rejection.

The receipt of call letter for interview does not confer any right upon the applicant for admission to the Institute.
