Can you tell me about selection process in B Tech course in International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H) as I am planning to take admission in it so wanted to know it?

The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H) is an autonomous university founded in 1998. It was set up as a research university focused on the core areas of Information Technology, such as Computer Science, Electronics and Communications, and their applications in other domains.

Undergraduate Admissions

The Undergraduate Admissions for IIIT Hyderabad is offered in the following streams
o B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) (Four year programme)
o B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) (Four year programme)
o B.Tech in CSE and MS by Research in CSE (Five year Dual Degree programme)
o B.Tech in ECE and MS by Research in ECE (Five year Dual Degree programme)
o B.Tech in Computer Science and MS by Research in Computational Natural Sciences (Five year Dual Degree programme) [CND]
o B.Tech in Civil Engineering and MS by Research in Building Science and Engineering. [BSD]
o B.Tech in Computer Science and MS by Research in Computational Linguistics (Five year Dual Degree programme) [CLD]
o B.Tech in Computer Science and MS by Research in Exact Humanities (Five year Dual Degree programme) [CHD]

Undergraduate Admissions to IIIT, Hyderabad is only through the JEE Main Marks except CLD and EHD.

Eligibility:
Students should take JEE (Main) and must separately apply for IIIT-H seat allotment procedure. Admissions are on the basis of the marks in JEE (Main).

Number of seats: 210 [CSE-80, ECE-40, CSD-35, ECD-25, BSD-15, CND-15]

Criteria of selection: JEE (Main) marks

First tie breaker: Math marks
Second tie breaker: Physics
Third tie breaker: Chemistry

A minimum of 60% or above marks in Class XII is required to be admitted to the program.

XIIth marks carry no weightage in the selection of the applicant.
