Jawaharlal Institute of Post-graduate Medical Education and Research MBBS entrance exam is organized by the institute located in puducherry to offers admission in M.B.B.S. Course. Eligibility Applicants must have passed Higher Secondary Examination under 10+2+3 pattern with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and 50% marks in English Applicants should be of at least 17 years Selection Procedure The examination shall be conducted in English medium Only. The exam consists of 200 multiple choice objective type questions : Subject No.of Questions Physics 60 Chemistry 60 Biology 60 Logic and Quantitative Reasoning 10 English and Comprehension 10 There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. General students securing less than percentile 50, general OPH students less than percentile 45, Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / OBC securing 40 in aggregate in the subjects taken together in the Entrance Examination will NOT be considered for admission In t case of two or more students obtaining equal marks in the entrance exam their inter se merit shall be determined as follows : If there is still a tie by eliminating Physics marks. If the tie is still NOT broken, then a student senior in age shall rank senior to a student who is junior in age. If there is still a tie by eliminating Chemistry marks. If there is still a tie by eliminating Chemistry marks. |
