Cost and works accountant (CWA) is a successor of The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI).

ICWA as a course is conducted in 3 different stages.

Foundation,
Intermediate and
Final course

The minimum age for applying for the ICWA course is 17 years.

You can apply for the foundation course after completing your 12th class in any subject area.

Final year 12th class students can also apply for the ICWA course.

Foundation Course:

Eligibility:

A candidate should have passed Class 10 or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution.

Passed Senior Secondary Examination under 10+2 scheme of a recognized Board

Intermediate Course:

Eligibility:

The applicant should have Passed Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2) and Foundation Course of the ICAI.

Passed Foundation of ICSI/Intermediate of ICAI by what ever name called along with 10+2.

Final Course:

Eligibility:
The Students for being eligible to make an application to appear in the final examination must complete at least 6 months of Practical Training in any one or more of the organization

Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India offers ICWA course.

Eligibility for the course:
After 12th :
Candidate who want to pursue this course after 12th should have to enroll for foundation Program of the ICWA course .

After graduation/ post graduation course :
Candidate who wants to pursue this course after graduation can directly enroll for Intermediate Program.

Stages of the course :
Foundation Program
Intermediate Program
Final Course

Duration for ICWAI course:
Foundation Program- 6 months
Intermediate Program- 12 months
Management Training- 36 months
Final Course- 12 months

Fees structure for the course:

Foundation Course: INR 3,500/-
Intermediate Course: INR 15,700/-
(INR 19,700/- if Oral Coaching is opted i.e. INR 4,000 extra for oral coaching)

Final Course: INR 11,000/-
(INR 16,000/- if Oral Coaching is opted i.e. INR 4,000 extra for oral coaching)
