ICSI stands for the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. It is the institute which is responsible for conducting exams for the Company Secretary Courses.

The Company Secretary Course basically comprise of three programs and a 15 months of management training i.e.
Foundation Program, Executive Program, Final Program and the Management training for a period of 15 months are considered for the associate member ship of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. It is minimum of nine months to complete each program.

Any 12th passed candidate may apply for the first course i.e. Foundation course directly and if can succeed then the candidate can enter into the 2nd phase. After passing this phase the candidate also get chance to appear in the 3rd phase.
