Eligibility for NDA:

Nationality:
A candidate must be a Indian citizen.
If a candidate is a subject of Nepal, or Bhutan is also eligible for this.
A candidate who is a Tibetan refugee living in India from 1st January, 1962 is also eligible.

Age Limits:
A candidate must have age between 16 and half to 19 years.

Educational Qualifications:
A candidate must be12th Class passed in the 10+2 pattern from the recognized board and with the Physics and Mathematics subjects.

Candidates appearing in the 11th class exam are not eligible for this examination.

The Indian Air Force is one of the 3 wings of the Indian defense services of the government of India.

Branches Available For the students to Join In the IAF

Applicants have the opportunity to join any of the given three branches. They are:
Flying Branch
Technical Branch
Ground Duty Branches

Qualification Required

To join the NDA, the applicants must be Indian citizens with no less then 16 ½ and not more than 19 years of age.

Only men can join after the pass of their intermediate exams.

The qualification that is needed by an applicant to join the NDA is a pass in class 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics.

Applicants who are studying in their last year are also eligible to apply.

Selection procedure

To join the NDA, applicants have to appear for the written test that is performed by the UPSC.

Aspirants who are shortlisted will have to go through a meticulous training regime at the National Defence Academy.

The duration of this training period is 3 years.

Following this, the candidates will be given specialized training at the Air Force Academy.

Applicants who pass out of the academy successfully will be commissioned as officers and placed as pilots at any of the Stations of the Indian Air Force.
