Minimum requirement for Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):

Candidate should passed senior Secondary (or its equivalent) exam with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

Candidate should passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

OR

Candidate should pass senior secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Candidate should pass senior secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education.

Candidate should passed Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education.


Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage

Candidate should passed Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

OR

Candidate should passed Graduation with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

OR

Candidate should passed Graduation with minimum 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)

OR

Candidate should passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Candidate should passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

OR

Candidate should passed Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed.

Teacher Eligibility Test also known as TET is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for Class 6 to Class 8. It is conducted by both Central government and State governments in India.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:-
For Grade 1:- Master Degree from a recognised university with B.ED. course
For Grade 2:- Graduation from a recognised university with B.ED. course
For Grade 3:- Higher secondary pass with D.ED. course

AGE LIMIT:-
For Grade 1 and Grade 2, The age of the aspirants should be 21-30 years
the age relaxation for OBC is 3 years and SC/ST aspirants is 5 years.
For Grade 2, The age of the aspirants should be 18-28 years
However there is age relaxation for OBC and SC/ST aspirants as per government rule.
