Can you please provide the eligibility criteria for the Common Proficiency Test?

Common Proficiency Test is the entry level course like all other Entrance Exams of Other Professional Organisations..
The CPT Exam is held twice in the month of June and December.

Eligibility:
Aspirants must have qualified Class XII Exams.

Exam pattern:
CPT exam comprises of 4 Multiple Choice Papers.
There is negative marking for every wrong answer.
This test is of 200 marks.
Subjects to be studied in CPT are as follows:
Fundamentals of Accounting
General Economics
Mercantile Laws
Quantitative Aptitude
This test is divided into two sessions of two hours

Important Dates for CA CPT June, 2014 Examination:
i) Commencement of Online filling of CPT Exam Form: 4th April, 2014 (10.00 hrs.)
ii) Last date for acceptance of application forms: 25th April, 2014 (17.30 hrs)
iii) Date of declaration of result: Around one month from the date of examination
Thus, you have to create your account on or before 25th April, 2014 upto 5.30 P.M. (IST) for filling of CPT Examination application form Online.

The Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is conducted by the Council of the Institute Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Here are the details of it:

Eligibility:
The applicant should have passed Senior Secondary Examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India

Important date:
Last date for registration to CPT Course with BOS 1st April, 2014

Commencement of Online filling of CPT Examination Form 4th April, 2014 (10:00 A.M. IST)

Last date & time for Login Creation/Submission of CPT Examination application form Online 25th April, 2014
upto 5:30 P.M. (IST)

Last date for revalidation of registration for June, 2014 CPT 25th April, 2014

Last date for receipt of print out of online examination form duly filled up(PDF) 29th April, 2014

Date of CPT Examination 22nd June, 2014 (Sunday)

Likely date of declaration of result Around one month from the date of examination
