The Association of MBAs presents three annual awards to outstanding business schools to recognise the talents and contributions made by accredited schools and their students All the awards are designed to be entered or nominated by accredited business schools. The Independent MBA Student of the Year Award Eligibility Accredited schools invited to nominate one student for the Award, to be selected from those enrolled on accredited programmes during the 2013/2014 academic year. Students can be nominated from full time, part time and distance learning programmes Only one nomination can be accepted from each school. Prizes The winner receives a cash prize of £1,000 The 3 runners-up each receive a cash prize of £500. The two remaining short listed candidates receive a notable mention and a certificate. All the finalists gain media coverage in The Independent, The Independent on Sunday and Ambition, the Association’s member's publication. MBA Innovation Award Eligibility Submissions invited from accredited schools and should demonstrate innovation around the MBA in one or more of the following areas: Curriculum Teaching and learning Leadership Marketing and admissions Alumni Other Evidence The initiative is innovative The market has responded to the initiative There has been an element of risk The initiative will enhance the reputation of the MBA The aspect nominated for the award should have been running for more than three months but no more than two years. MBA Entrepreneurial Venture Award Eligibility The business must have been founded/co-founded by an MBA student The business must have been operational for a minimum period of six months and a maximum of three years Business can be based on any legal activity The businesses must be put forward for this award by the business school where the founder studied their MBA. |
