After completing Diploma, you are not eligible for the IAS exam . You are applicable only in one case if you obtain any graduate degree after diploma . The IAS exam is taken by the Union Public Service Commission every year. Eligibility Criteria: Interested students must have any graduate degree from any recognized University. Candidate who are in the final year are also eligible. Candidate’s age should be between 21 and 30 years. IAS Exams are taken in three following phases. Phase I: Civil Services Aptitude Test Phase II: Civil Services Mains Phase III: Personality test Preliminary Examination : It is Objective type examination divided into following two parts: Paper I Paper II 120 mins 120 mins 200 marks 200 marks The Main exam will consist of Essay, Modern Indian Language, English, General Studies-I, General Studies-II, General Studies-III, General Studies-IV List of optional subjects for IAS Main Examination are given below: Commerce and Accountancy Economics Electrical Engineering Geography Agriculture Geology History Law Management Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science Anthropology Botany Chemistry Civil Engineering Mathematics Mechanical Engineering Medical Science Philosophy Physics Statistics Zoology Political Science and International Relations Psychology Pubic Administration Sociology Literature from one of the following languages: Assamese, Santhali, Sindhi, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu and English, Bengali, Bodo. |
