Admission in IITs after Diploma

I want to take admission in IIT after completing Diploma so please tell me that can I get direct admission in 2nd year of IIT B. Tech course?

You are eligible for admission in IIT B. Tech course but not for direct admission. You have to crack IIT JEE and then you will get admission in first year of IIT B. Tech Course after completing Diploma.

Eligibility Criteria for IIT JEE Exam:

1. You must have studied Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects and one of the subjects as optional subjects (Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science, and Biology) in 12th with minimum of 50% marks.
Or
Diploma in engineering form reorganized university.


2. You must be born on or after October 1, 1990 to be considered for the JEE Main 2015.

SC/ST/PwD Candidates will have a relaxation of the upper age limit by 5 years.


Number of Allowed attempts:
A maximum number of three attempts will be allowed per candidate


List of Qualifying Exams that are considered for JEE Main 2015:

10+2 exam conducted by any recognized central/ state Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc.

Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.

Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy

H.S.C. vocational examination

Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National

Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects

A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education of at least 3 year duration

Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level

High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva
