Public relations (PR) is the way organisations, companies and individuals communicate with the public and media.


Types of the public relation

Financial public relations – communicating financial results and business strategy
Consumer/lifestyle public relations – gaining publicity for a particular product or service
Crisis communication – responding in a crisis
Internal communications – communicating within the company itself
Government relations – engaging government departments to influence public policy
Food-centric relations – communicating specific information centered on foods, beverages and wine

Tools and Technique :

PR specialists and firms use a number of tools and techniques to boost their clients’ public image and help them form a meaningful relationship with the target audience. To achieve that, they use tools such as news releases and statements for media, newsletters, organisation and participation at public events conferences, conventions, awards, etc..


Degree required for Becoming a PR Specialist : A PR specialist is usually required to have a relevant type and level of education such as a Bachelor’s degree in communications or journalism.
