Department of Business Management is a Post Graduate Department of the University of Calcutta.

It is located in the Sahid Khudiram Siksha Prangan, Alipore Campus
It was founded in 1976 .

You Can take Admission in Ph.D. in Business Management Course through Entrance Test (PET)

Eligibility:

Candidates must have Completed Master’s Degree in Business Management/ Human
Resources Management/ Commerce/ Social Sciences/ Humanities (excluding Music, Visual Arts, Fine Arts &
Dramatics)/ Sciences/ Law/ Library Science/ Technology/ Medicine or allied Disciplines, subject to approval of Ph. D. Committee before registration .

From University of Calcutta OR

From other UGC recognized Universities/ Institutes, with equivalence clearance from the Registrar’s Office,University of Calcutta.


Admission Test:

The Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) will Be of 100 marks of 3 (Three) Hours Duration.

The main Modules of Setting the Entrance Test Paper will be Three namely the following:

Quantitative and Logical Reasoning with weightage of 40%

Analysis of a Business Issue’ with weightage of 30%

A Concept Paper (on one of the given research themes)’ with Weightage of 30%
