The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be Conducting the National Eligibility Test (NET) on Behalf of the University Grants Commission. The UGC NET is conducting for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship and eligibility for Assistant Professor, in Indian universities and colleges. Important Dates(Tentative) Submission of online application form 1st week of March, 2016 Last date for Applying Online 2nd Week of March 2016 (exact dates will be updated soon) Last date of submission of Fee through online generated Bank challan , at any branch of (Syndicate/Canara ICICI Bank) or through credit/debit card 2nd Week of March 2016 (exact dates will be updated soon) Correction in Particulars of application form on the website 2nd Week of May 2016 Date of Examination Month of June 2016 UGC NET Eligibility : Candidates must have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent exam from universities/institutions recognized by UGC (list attached page No.21 to 47) in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science &Applications, Electronic Science etc (list of subjects of post graduation attached at page No.18 to 19) are eligible for this Test. Age Limit & Relaxation : Not more than 28 years . A relaxation up to 5 years is provided to the Candidates Belonging to OBC (Non-Creamy layer, as per the Central list of OBC Examination Fee : For General candidates, the Examination Fee is Rs.600/-; For Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer, For SC/ST/PWD Candidates, it is Rs.150/- |
