AFMC (Armed Forces Medical College) is a medical college located in Pune, state of Maharashtra in India.

MBBS

Duration of Course

The duration of MBBS course is 4 ½ (9 semester) years with compulsory rotating internship training of one year after passing all 9 semester of MBBS course.

Qualifications
The candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent or BSc examinations with zoology, botany in the first attempt with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

The candidates must have not less than 60% of the aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in each Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects from statutory Indian University/board or other recognized examination body.

Method of selection
Method of selection depends on rank in AIPMT 2015 and Merit prepared by AFMC 2015.

The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nasik and is recognised by the Medical Council of India.

Minimum Qualifying Marks required for AFMC MBBS

The minimum qualifying Marks required for admission in AFMC (Armed Forces Medical College) MBBS is as follows:

Academic Qualifications:

Applicants must have passed the XII standard/pre-professional/premedical exam or equivalent exam of statutory Indian University/Board or any other recognized Board/University as a regular student in all the subjects opted for in 1st attempt with the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology scoring minimum 60% of aggregate marks in the three science subjects taken together, minimum 50% marks in each of the science subjects and minimum 50% marks in English.

They must have also passed an exam in Mathematics at least of the matriculation standard.

A graduate of B.Sc. Exam with minimum 2 of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany or Zoology) and also must have passed the earlier qualifying exam i.e. XII standard/Pre professional (Med) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and obtained marks as stated above.

Eligibility

A candidate should be a citizen of India or be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan or any other foreign country with the intention of permanently settling in India.

One must be unmarried. Marrying during the course is not permitted.

Should be medically fit as per prescribed standards by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Defense

Age

Must have attained the age of 17 years but must not have attained the age of 22 years, if the academic qualification of the candidate is 10+2 or equivalent.

A candidate who has passed B.Sc. exam or will be appearing in final B.Sc. exam and seeks admission, one must not have attained the age of 24.
