Indian Institute of Management Ranchi is a public business school. It was inaugurated on 6th July, 2010

Courses Offered:
IIM Ranchi offers only diploma not degrees like other IIM’s. The programmes offered are PGP equivalent to MBA and PhD which include a standard post graduate diploma in management (PGDM), human resource management (PGDHRM), a full-time doctoral programme (FPM) and a part-time executive program (PGEXP).

The 2 year Post-graduate Diploma in Management, equivalent to an MBA, is the top education program which make young graduates for senior-level positions in industry.
IIM Ranchi became the first & only IIM in the country to offer PGDM-HR
Campus:

This college is operating from a temporary campus in Suchana Bhavan, behind the Governor House premises in Ranchi. The construction of a permanent campus has been started at Birhar village on the Khunti-Karra road, about 35 kilometres (22 mi) from Ranchi. in July 2013.

Admissions:
Selection in courses at IIM Ranchi is based upon performance in Common Admission Test, conducted by the various IIMs. IIM Ranchi has announced the admission criteria for their two-year flagship programmes - Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM).

Faculty:

The PGP course is being delivered by the famous faculty of IIM Calcutta in its formative years. Faculty members fly from Kolkata to Ranchi and alter between teachings at these two IIMs.
