Hello sir, Im preparing for All India Pre-Medical Test for MBBS & BDS exam. For AIPMT exam preparation I want to know exam pattern. Will you please show me here exam pattern of AIPMT?

The All India Pre-Medical test/ Pre-Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT now replaced by NEET-UG) was an annual medical entrance examination in India.

The exam was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in several medical colleges across the country.

The AIPMT exam has been conducted in pen and paper based mode for 3 hours duration in a single session from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM.

Exam Pattern:

The AIPMT exam will be conducted through offline process.
The duration of the exam will be three hours (10:00 AM to 01:00 PM).

The AIPMT entrance exam will be composed of one paper that contains 180 multiple choice questions.

The question has four options with one single correct answer.

The exam consists of three subjects that are Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology).

There will be 45 questions were asked for each subject.
Each question will carries 4 marks.
One mark is deducted from the total score for each incorrect response.

Total 180 720

Reservation:

(a) 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates,
(b) 8% seats are reserved for ST candidates,
(c) 27% seats are reserved for non-creamy layer OBC candidates

Qualifying marks in terms of marks and percentage is:

Percentage Wise Marks Wise out of 720
General Category 50% 360
Reserved Category (OBC, SC & ST) 40% 288
General Category - PH 45% 324
Reserved Category -PH 40% 288
