Topics Of The Course Classical Mechanics
Coordinate systems (2D polar, cylindrical, spherical), Newton’s Laws and application to particle motion in 2-D (and 3-D) in plane polar coordinates. Include friction and rough pulleys

• Central forces, Gravitation, Kepler’s law, hyperbolic and parabolic orbits.

• Line integrals, gradient, curl, conservative forces, potential, Work Energy theorems, Energy diagrams

• Forced Oscillations, damping, resonance.

• Nonlinear oscillations and chaos.

• Motion in Non-inertial frames, centrifugal and Coriolis forces.

• Conservation of Angular Momentum and elementary rigid body dynamics.

• Special Theory of Relativity.
