Newcomers joining as Officer Trainee experience preparing for 6 months and are caught up in Salary review "An" as an "Officer" on fruitful fulfillment of preparing period. Upon ingestion, officers are on post trial supervision for next 6 months and are affirmed in Salary Grade "An" as the normal worker of the Corporation upon effective consummation of probation period.

Newcomers joining as Officer in Salary Grade "An" are on post trial supervision for next 12 months. On fruitful consummation of probation period, the officer is affirmed in Salary Grade "An" as the normal representative of the Corporation.

HPCL may enlist Officers at senior levels, through open ads, to meet some particular necessities, similar to Exploration and Production, R&D and so on for which skill may not be accessible inside.
