The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board is the state government administered authority for admission to engineering degree colleges in West Bengal, India. The Board was established in 1962.

It conducts the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination annually.

WBJEE is a state level examination which is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) for admission to different undergraduate courses in engineering, medical, architecture and pharmacy field at various private and government institutions across West Bengal.

WBJEE Eligibility Criteria

10+2 examination from state board or CBSE board and secured minimum 60% of marks (for reserved category candidates the minimum scored mark is 55%) for admission in Jadavpur university

If candidates want to get admission at any other institution, they must have secured minimum 45% marks (the mark is 40% for reserved category candidates).

Candidates must be 17 years old as on or before 31st Dec 2016.

For Marine engineering, must not be more than 25 years as on 31st July 2016.

Candidates should not have any medical illness.

Candidates must have citizenship of West Bengal. Domicile is not required in case you want to get admission into private or self-aided university).

Candidates must be a citizen of India.
