I will help you here to get the information about West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination so that you can have idea about it.

Here I’m telling you some tentative dates to appy for it easily


1. Information brochure along proforma for domicile and income certificate will be released on last week of December 2015

2. Application form will be available from 1st week of January 2016

3. Last date to submit the application form will be last week of February 2016

4. Required documents can be submitted till 1st week of March 2016

5. Application fee must be paid before 1st week of March 2016

6. Confirmation page could be downloaded till last week of March 2016

7. Application correction window (based on board’s feedback and self-induced errors) along with uploading of correct certificates etc by candidates 1st week of March to 2nd week of March 2016


8. Issuance of WBJEE admit card 1st week of April 2016

9. WBJEE 2016 due on:
Biological Sciences
Physics and chemistry
Mathematics
3rd week of May 2016

10. Result will be announced on 1st week of June 2016

Here is the eligibility criteria to apply for the exam

Applicant must be a citizen of India.

Applicant must be 17 years old, as on 31 December 2016. There is no provision for the upper age limit.

Applicant must have passed 10+2 from a recognized institution with English, Physics and Mathematics as core subjects and Chemistry/ Biology/ Technical Vocational Subjects as optional subjects. Candidate must have attained at least 45% marks in qualifying exam (criteria for ST/ SC/ PwD/ OBC is 40%) and should have scored at least 30% marks in English.

B.Tech (Marine Engineering) – in Addition to Above Terms

He must have a subject combo of Physics, Math and Chemistry in the QE.

It is required to pass individually in subjects – English, Physics, Math, Chemistry and Vernacular.

Here is the exam pattern
Physics-Chemistry Paper:
The exam will be of 2 hours.
There will be 80 questions of 100 marks in it.

Mathematics Paper:

The exam will be of two hours.
There will be 75 questions of 100 marks.

Biology Paper:

The exam will be of 2 hours 30 minutes.
There will be 115 questions of 150 marks.

Common factor in WBJEE Exam Pattern

All the questions will be of multiple choice type.

All the papers will be divided into three category.

Each question in Category-I will be of 1 mark.

Whereas, the questions in Category-II and Category-III will be of 2 marks.

In category 1 and 2 only one option is correct and for wrong answer negative marking of 1/4 and 1/2 mark will be implemented.

However, in category 3 more than one option can be correct and negative marking will not be done.
