I would like to apply for the Written Ability Test (WAT) for admission in PGP course of the IIM Calcutta. I don’t have the idea about the exam pattern. Can you please share the exam pattern and syllabus of the Written Ability Test (WAT) conducted by IIM Calcutta?

Post Graduate Course

Post-Graduate level has a two-tier structure: it consists of a core curriculum (compulsory credit courses and compulsory non-credit courses), a summer internship (compulsory industry training between first and second year) and elective courses (optional courses in the second year).The first year is committed to developing business fundamentals through compulsory courses spanning the areas of economics, finance, marketing, operations, systems and organizational Behavior.

Admission Details

Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree, with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA[45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PWD) categories

The candidate may possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

Admission Procedure :

The first stage is appearing for the CAT (Common Admission Test) conducted by the IIMs (GMAT for the international candidates).

For international candidates, percentile scored in GMAT will be equated to the CAT score for the same percentile.

On clearing the required cut-offs and the composite score, a candidate is called for the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).
