University of Mumbai had invited the applications for MCA Course through Distance and Open Learning mode for 2014 intake through entrance test.

Online applications are invited for admission to MCA course Course duration is Three Years (Six Semesters)

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must be Graduate in any faculty of a recognized University with minimum 45% marks (minimum 40% for reserved category) and Mathematics as a subject at XII or higher level
Applicants who have appeared for final year and whose results are awaited are eligible for appearing at the Entrance Test

Important Dates
Online submission of the MCA Entrance Test - 2014 through website: First Date - 22nd May 2014

Online submission of the MCA Entrance Test - 2014 through website: Last Date - 12th June 2014

Date of the Entrance Test: 22nd June 2014 (Sunday)

Hall Tickets of Entrance Test will be displayed on Institute of Distance and Open Learning website

Hey as The University of Mumbai is one of the first three state universities in India and the oldest in Maharashtra. It is abbreviated as "MU" for Mumbai University.

Duration:

The duration of the M.C.A course extends over six semesters (three years), spreading up equally over three academic years. Each semester is of 12-16 weeks durations, besides the time spent for examinations.

Course description:

Mumbai University Distance MCA (Master of Computer Application) course is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge of computer science, with importance on applications

The courses has subjects of Computer Science, Mathematical Science and Management. The sixth semester of the course is dedicated to project work, to be done with industry, since the course pertains to modern technology.

Eligibility for Mumbai University MCA Entrance:



Graduate in any faculty of a recognized University by UGC with minimum 45% marks (minimum 40% for reserved category) and Mathematics as a subject at XII or higher level.

Those Students who have appeared for final year and whose results are awaited are eligible for appearing for the Entrance Test.

Reservation of seats: The percentage of seats reserved for candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State is as follows:

13% seats : SC

7% Seats : S.T.

3% Seats : D.T.(A

2.5% Seats : N.T.(B)

3.5% : N.T.(C)

2% Seats : N.T.(D)

19% seats : OBC

a) 30% Seats : Womens (Horizantal) Resevation as per State Govt.

b) S.B.C. : As per Circular No. BCC/29/34 of 1997 dated 25-9-1997

c) Physically Handicapped : As per Circular No. Special Cell/2/2008 Handicapped dated 25-1-2008ix) 03% seats

There is a 30% (Horizontal)Reservation for women as per state government rules.

Hello sir, what eligibility should be requiring for MCA entrance test at University of Mumbai? If I was select MCA entrance exam from distance mode admission then what eligibility require in university of Mumbai?

MCA master degree course in computer application is 3 year duration course for higher degree.

For MCA entrance test eligibility will be requiring follow by university of Mumbai:

Eligibility for MCA entrance exam:

Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree (Graduation) in any faculty of a recognized university with minimum 45% marks (minimum 40% marks) with Mathematics as a subject at XII or higher level.

Who have appeared final year examination and those who are waiting results are awaited are eligible to apply for the MCA Entrance Test.
