The university of Mumbai is one of the oldest university in India founded in 1857.

The university of Mumbai conduct the Pre Ph.D Entrance Test (PET) for the admission in Phd programme in filed of Arts, Commerce, Science, Law and Technology.

Eligibility:
Postgraduatation with minimum 55% marks. The final year in post graduation students are also eligible for PET test.

Registration Fee: 1000 for Gen and OBC and 500 for reserved category.

The notification for University of Mumbai PhD Entrance Test 2016 has been announced.

Important Dates

Last Date for Acceptance of Application Forms: 30th November 2015 (02.30 pm)

Date of PET 2016: 03rd January 2016 (Sunday, 02.00 pm to 05.00 pm)
Eligibility:-

Candidates require Master degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university with minimum 55 percent marks in total. (50 percent marks in case of reserved category candidates).

Application fee:

For general Category Rs 1000/-
For reserved category Rs 500/- (SC/ST/DT/NT/OBC/SBC - Caste Certificate is a must).


Candidates who have qualified GATE/SET/NET/JRF exam and are holders of teacher’s fellowships of apex bodies like CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR/DBT etc are exempted from appearing for this test
