TNPSC Group 1 Criteria

I want to apply for TNPSC Group 1 Exam so can you please tell me the eligibility criteria to apply for exam?

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducts TNPSC Group 1 Exam for recruitment of various posts.

TNPSC Group 1 Exam Eligibility Criteria-

Graduation degree or equivalent from the recognized University/Institution

The candidates, who have written the final year degree examination, may also apply

Age limit-

Name of the Post Minimum Age Upper Age

For all the posts except the post of
Assistant Commissioner (C.T). 21 Years 30 Years

Assistant Commissioner (C.T.)

(i) For candidates possessing any degree 21 Years 30 Years

(ii) For candidates possessing B.L. degree of any University or Institution recognized by the
University Grants Commission. 21 Years 31 Years

Relaxation in upper age limit will be given to reserved candidates

Physical Qualification:

For Men: Must be not less than 165 cms in Height and not less than 86 cms round the chest on full inspiration and must have a chest expansion of not less than 5 cms on full inspiration.

For Women: Must be not less than 155 cms in Height. The Chest measurement will not apply to them.

Knowledge of Tamil:

Candidates should possess adequate knowledge of Tamil.

Selection Procedure:

The selection will be made in three successive stages:

Preliminary Examination
Main Written Examination
Interview
