The Candidate’s age should be between 21 to 30 years as on 1 July, 2013.

Pay scale:
Pay band of Rs. 15600/- to Rs. 39100/- with Grade pay of Rs. 5400/-

Education qualification:
For post no 1:
The Candidate should be graduated
For post no 2:
The Candidate should have done degree or diploma in Criminology and Forensic Science

Selection process:
The selection is based on Written exam (Preliminary and Main) will be taken to select candidates from the applied candidates.

Tamilnadu Public Service Commission Group I exam eligibility criteria is as given below:

Eligibility:

Qualification
The applicant should have a bachelors degree from any recognized University.

Age limit
Age is in between 21 to 30 Years.

Syllabus:

Preliminary Exam Syllabus
General Studies:
In this exam 150 questions will be asked about General studies like General Tamil, English, Current Affairs, General Knowledge etc.

Aptitude Test and Mental Ability:
In this exam 50 question will be asked about about Aptitude Teat and Mental Abilities like Reasoning, Math etc.

Group 1 Main Exam Syllabus

Paper I:-

In Paper I Question will be asked about Modern History and Culture of India, General Aptitude & Mental Ability Test, Role and Impact of Science & Technology in development of India and Tamil Nadu.

Paper II:-

This paper contains questions about Indian Polity and Emerging Political Trends across the world affecting India and Geography of India, Tamil Society, Culture and Heritage/English Language skills, Administration of Union and States with special reference to Tamil Nadu state.

Paper III:-

In Paper III questions will be about Current events of National and International importance, Current economic trends and Socio Economic problems of India/Tamil Nadu.

1. For all the posts except the post of Assistant Commissioner (C.T).
