Hello, here I am providing you the details of the nationwide entrance exam holds by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research as under:

Admission procedure:
The admissions procedure (in all subjects, except Science Education) consists of a written test at one of the several nationwide centres, followed by interviews of shortlisted candidates.

Eligibility:
Mathematics:
For Ph.D. : M.A./M.Sc./M.Tech.

Physics:
For Ph.D.: M.Sc./M.S. in Physics, or equivalent, on completion of programmes(s) of duration not less than 5 years in total.

Chemistry:
For Ph.D.: M.Sc./M.Pharm.

Biology:
For Ph.D.: Masters in Basic Science or Bachelors in Applied Science. These include, M.Sc.(Ag.), B.Tech., B.E., B.V.Sc., B.Pharma. (4 years course), MBBS, BDS, M.Pharma.

Computer & System Sciences (including Communications and Applied Probability):
For Ph.D. : B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech./M.C.A./M.Sc. degree holders in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics & Communications Engineering / Electrical Engineering.

Application fees:
Male: 500/-
Female: 100/-

Current Science Journal date – September 25, 2015
End date for online application: October 7, 2015
End date for TIFR GS online payment – October 14, 2015
Final date for sending the TIFR GS Demand Draft – October 14, 2015
Admit cards will be issued on the site – November 10, 2015
TIFR GS 2016 Examination Date – 13th December 2015
Results will be announced on – January 28, 2016
