The next TIFR Entrance Examination will be held on December 9, 2012. For notification and updates please check this website during the first week of September 2012.

Application Fee (Non-Refundable): Rs 500/- for online applications and Rs 550/- for manual applications.
Female candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. Rs 800/-

TIFR Hyderabad offers admission in PHD course Graduate School admission test for PHD that is conducted by the TIFR Hyderabad.

Eligibility criteria for PHD course:
For Ph.D.:
M.Sc. in Physics / M.E. / M.Tech./M.S in (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical & Metallurgical and Materials ) or equivalent.

For I-Ph.D.:
B.Sc. in Physics / B.E. / B.Tech. in (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical & Metallurgical and Materials) or equivalent.

Admission Procedure:

On the basis of academic performance and qualifying tests candidate be called for a personal interview .

On the basis of interview admission be given .


Stipend:

Ph.D.:
Monthly fellowship : Rs. 25,000/-
(enhanced to Rs 28,000/- after registration)

Annual contingency grant Rs.32,000/-.

Integrated Ph.D. :

Monthly fellowship :
Rs.16,000/- for 1st year,
Rs. 25,000/- from 2nd year onwards
(enhanced to Rs 28,000/- after registration)

Annual contingency grant :
Rs.20,000/- for 1st year
Rs.32,000/- from 2nd year onwards.
