Thapar University or Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology offers Post-graduate and undergraduate programs in Engineering, Science, Management and Social Sciences.

Admission
JEE Main is a gateway for admission to undergraduate engineering courses in Thapar University.

Direct Admission to Thapar University- B.Tech/ B.E.:

Top 2 exam toppers of from recognized Indian boards are given direct admission to 1st year of UG program.

Eligibility Criteria for admission to Thapar University
Students must be Indian citizens.
Students must possess a good moral character.

Academic Qualification
Students must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with three subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science.

Students must have appeared for JEE (Main).

Minimum Qualifying Marks
Students must have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).

Student has appeared in JEE (Main) with at least 20% aggregate marks (15% for SC/ST Students).The clause is not be applicable for the PGN, GoI, JKM, JK students.

A four year B.E./ B.Tech Course at Thapar University Costs approximately 4.5 Lakhs
