Yes students from science background can apply for IBPS Clerk examination in various banks after passing graduation with science stream.

IBPS required eligibility :
Age: Minimum age 20 and Maximum age 28

Education:
you have to passed minimum Graduation level degree in any stream from a well recognized university
Computer literacy is necessary, either having studied as school level or having completed any type of Certificate/Diploma/Degree
You must have Proficiency in the official language of the State/Union territory where you are interested in working

Nationality/Citizenship:
A candidate must be either -
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan

Exam pattern :
IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern
IBPS Clerk exam paper consists of following five sections.
Reasoning -40 marks
Quantitative aptitude-40 marks
English language-40 marks
General knowledge with special reference to banking industry-40 marks
Computer knowledge-40 marks

5. IBPS Clerk Syllabus 2014 - Computer Knowledge Section:-
Basic computer fundamentals, History and Future of Computers, Computer abreviation, Microsoft-office, Basic knowledge of Internet use, Shortcut keys, Basic Software & Hardware and their functionalities, History and Future of Computers, Networking, etc.
