The School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies has developed in India and abroad as a noteworthy place for instructing and research in Languages, Literatures and Cultures of India, Asia and Europe.

In real present day European dialects French, German, Russian, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Persian and Arabic-the school offers under graduate, post-gratuate and research programs focussing on dialects, Literatures, interpretation, translation and society considers.

The Center of Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Latin American Studies (CSPILAS) was initially settled as the Center of Spanish Studies in the mid 70s and in this manner extended to incorporate Portuguese and Italian dialect programs and was renamed in 2004 as the Center of Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Latin American Studies as a feature of the School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

The standard projects of the Center are:

• B.A. (Respects) in Spanish

• M.A. in Spanish

• M.Phil in Spanish/Hispanic Studies

• Ph.D in Spanish/Hispanic Studies
