Here I am giving you important dates to apply for Maharashtra State Eligibility Test for Lectureship organized by PUNE university below: Important dates : Pune university SET exam dates : SET exam date : Issue of form :: October 2014 Last date for Applying Online : November 2014 Last date of taking printout of Application Form : second week November 2014 SET Examination :: December, 2014 Eligibility Criteria for Maharashtra State Eligibility Test for Lectureship (SET) You must have Master's Degree recognized by U.G.C. You must obtained minimum 55% marks (without gracing or rounding off) in Master's or equivalent examination, are eligible for this test. -SC/ST/PH/VH (PH-Physically Handicapped. VH-Visually Handicapped i.e. Blind) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without gracing or rounding off) in Master's or equivalent examination are eligible for this test. Syllabus : I. Teaching Aptitude Teaching : Nature, objectives, characteristics and basic requirements; Learners characteristics; Factors affecting teaching; Methods of teaching; Teaching aids; Evaluation systems. II. Research Aptitude Research : Meaning, characteristics and types; Steps of research; Methods of research; Research Ethics; Paper, article, workshop, seminar, conference and symposium; Thesis writing : its characteristics and format. III. Reading Comprehension A passage to be set with questions to be answered. IV. Communication Communication : Nature, characteristics, types, barriers and effective classroom communication. V. Reasoning (Including Mathematical) Number series; letter series; codes; Relationships; classification. VI. Logical Reasoning Understanding the structure of arguments; Evaluating and distinguishing deductive and inductive reasoning; Verbal analogies : Word analogy-Applied analogy; Verbal classification; Reasoning Logical Diagrams : Simple diagrammatic relationship, multidiagrammatic relationship; Venn diagram; Analytical Reasoning.
