Eligibility:
Minimum Qualifications for direct requirement to the post of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor Qualifications for TEACHING POSTS will provided by the University Grants Commission (UGC) are:

Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

Candidate need to clear the National Eligibility Test (NET) which is conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

Candidate may be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor in the University.

NET/SLET/SET will also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

NET:
To be eligible for the NET, candidate has to secure minimum of 55% in your master’s degree program. You can eligible for NET in only that subject with which you have done your masters degree program.

Once you qualify the test, you may apply for universities/colleges any where in India.
