Assistant Professor Eligibility in Engineering Colleges as per VI pay rules of AICTE is as given below:

Assistant Professor
Eligibility
The applicant should have pass BE / B Tech and ME / M Tech in relevant subject with First Class or equivalent either in BE / B Tech or ME / M Tech.

Pay Scale
Pay band 15600 – 39100 with an annual increment of 5% of the basic for the previous year.

AGP to be fixed based on qualification,
Experience and efficiency (Max.8000/-). Other allowances as applicable.

Associate Professor
Qualification
Qualification as above (i.e., for the post of Assistant Professor) and PhD or equivalent in appropriate discipline ( A Grace period of 6 years will be given to acquire PhD for those whocome from the teaching field)

Pay scale
Pay band 37400 – 67000 with an annual increment of 5% of the basic for the previous year… AGP to be fixed based on qualification, experience and efficiency (Max.9000/-) . Other allowances as applicable.
