The Special Class Railway Apprentice Exam is taken by UPSC for about ten seats to induct students for special Mechanical Engineering degree course for providing Indian Railways the top-ranking officers. Eligibility Applicants must have passed in the first or second division, the 12th class from a Board with Mathematics and at least one of Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination. Graduates with Mathematics and at least one of Physics and Chemistry as their degree subjects may also apply, or Applicants must have attained 17 years of age and must not have completed 21 years on 1st August of the year of examination. Exam Pattern Paper-I General Ability Test (English, General Knowledge and Psychological Test) ---2 hours Paper-II Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) --2 hours Paper-III Mathematics --2 hours Total 600 marks . Part II Personality Test carrying a maximum of 200 marks The selected candidates are called for an interview, which is followed by a medical examination. Tentative dates : Date of Notification Oct, 2015 Last Date of Submission of Application Form Nov, 2015 Date of Exam Jan, 2016 |
