IBM (International Business Machines) Corporation is an American company. It was founded on 16 June, 1911. It’s headquarter is located in Armonk, New York, USA. Selection Procedure: IBM conducts recruitment procedure every year to select new applicants. It also selects candidates through GATE exam. The selection process of the company consists of 3 rounds. These rounds are as follows: Written Exam Technical Interview HR Interview Academic Criteria: 60% or above in B.Tech , Class X and XII. Gap of up to one year is allowed. Written Exam consists of Questions about Quantitative Aptitude Questions on English Assessment/ Verbal Ability Syllabus: Verbal Ability section involves of short reading comprehension passages, basic grammar usage questions like fill in the blanks, synonyms, antonyms, paragraph completion, sentence correction, vocabulary, sentence ordering and others. The time allotted to this section is 25 minutes. Quantitative Ability & Logical Ability section involves of questions based on topics like algebra, time & work, time, speed & distance, arithmetic, percentages, probability, permutation & combination, profit & loss, HCF, LCM, geometry and other This section is of moderate level. The time allotted to this section is 35 minutes. After selection in the first round, candidates were called for Group Discussions on the given topic. No backlogs at the time of interview Test Pattern for IBM GBS: Section No. Of Questions Time Limit( in mins) Number Series 18 40 Quant Aptitude 18 40 Business Communication Test 22 20 Total 58 100 Test Description : The total time allotted to the written exam is 100 minutes. There is no negative marking in the paper Verbal English section consists of short reading comprehension passages, basic grammar usage questions like fill in the blanks, synonyms, antonyms, paragraph completion, sentence correction, vocabulary, sentence ordering etc. There is also a question on Email Writing.
