You need to take up Higher Secondary Studies with Science Stream in order to reach towards becoming a pilot. In Science you must opt for Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
You can apply for Commercial Pilot first stage.

The age limit to apply for a Commercial Pilot is 18 to 30 years.

Eyesight must be 6/6.

First stage is Student Pilot License (SPL) for which one can apply after 10+2 with PCM.

One needs to clear Medical Tests before applying for becoming Pilot.

To get SPL you need to pass an Objective type test which is an aptitude test

The next stage is Private Pilot License (PPL) in which one have to clear practical and theory tests. You also have to gain practical experience of a Pilot.

The last stage will be Commercial Pilot License which is a training to become a complete Pilot.

After that you can do a job of a pilot and earn as a pilot.

In India the course will be around 28 - 30 lakh, duration 2 - 3 years..

If you are interested to become a pilot in Indian Air Force then, there are mainly 2 types of entries,

(i) NDA Entry:
10 + 2 unmarried male students with Mathematics and Physics as their subjects can apply provided they are between 16 1/2 Yrs -19 Yrs of age.
NDA release its ad through UPSC in March and September every year 15 months in advance for courses commencing January and July every year.
It is for permanent commission into the Flying Branch of the IAF.

(ii) CDSE Entry:
A Graduate or a final-year B.E/B. Tech in any discipline with Physics and Mathematics at 10 +2 level can apply through CDSE if one is unmarried and between 19-23 Yrs of age.
Candidates need to apply in response to the Flying Branch Advertisements given during April and October by UPSC. UPSC release its ad 15 months in advance for courses commencing January and July every year.
It is for permanent commission into the Flying Branch of the IAF.
The age should be below 23 years
There should not have any backlogs and 60% aggregate
One has to write C.D.S (Combined Defence Services Exam) conducted by U.P.S.C which is conducted in March/April and September/November
