I have completed Masters course and want to take admission in Rabindra Bharati University for Phd course . Will you please provide the admission criteria ?

Rabindra Bharati University (RBU), Kolkata invites the application for admission to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programs every year offered in Faculties of Arts, Fine Arts and Visual Arts in the various subjects .

Admission Procedure:

Applicants have to appear for a written entrance test, and after that have to appear for an interview

Applicants must have qualified M.Phil as per UGC regulations.

Applicants who have valid NET SET/GATE/ UGC (JRF)/CSIR (JRF) score are exempted to appear in the written exam .

Written entrance test will be of 100 marks

Total duration of the test will be three hours

Written entrance test have two halves of 50 marks each

First half belonging to Faculty of Arts and Visual Arts

This half will be known as Common Research Aptitude Test

This half will include Comprehension Test, Qualitative/Quantitative/Reasoning Aptitude etc

Second half will be subject oriented

It will include , Short Answer Type Questions (20 marks) Objective Type Questions (10 marks), and Essay writing on given topic or areas of interest of the applicant etc (within 300 words) ----(20 marks)

Availability of application forms from : First week of January , 2016
