State Bank of India will conduct the online written examination for recruit eligible candidates to the post of Probationary Officer (PO). SBI PO Examination Pattern: Exam having three phases . Phase 1 Preliminary exam comprises of objective type questions Weight-age of the examination is 100 marks This test would be conducted online and candidate has to mark his response using the mouse Duration of this exam is 1 hour or 60 minutes 1 mark will be given for each correct answer ¼ marks will be taken for each incorrect answer There are three sections in the examination: Name of test Number of Questions Net Marks English Language 30 30 Quantitative Aptitude 35 35 36 Reasoning Ability 35 35 Total 100 100 Phase 2 Candidates who qualify Prelims will be called for the Mains. Written exam is of 250 marks in total which would have objective type questions and descriptive test. Objective test is of 200 marks. Duration to solve exam is 2 hours. There are 4 sections in the exam of 50 marks each. Test of Data Analysis and Interpretation Test of Reasoning (High Level) Test of English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension) Test of General Awareness, Marketing, and Computers 1 mark will be given for each correct answer. ¼ marks will be taken for each incorrect answer. Exam Pattern Main Examination (Phase 2): Name of test Number of Questions Net Marks English Language 50 50 Data Analysis and Interpretation 50 50 Reasoning Ability 50 50 General Awareness, Marketing, and Computers 50 50 Total 200 200 Phase 3 Descriptive test of 50 marks would be conducted on the computer. Candidate has to reply to the answer by typing on the keyboard. Duration of this exam is 60 minutes. This is basically a test of English language with focus on letter writing, comprehension, and essay. |
