Citibank has brought in systems and processes to protect your valuable online banking transactions.

OTP

The OTP is a six digit number and you are requested to generate an OTP prior to every such transaction.

Send an SMS 'OTP <last 4-digits of Citibank Card Number>' to 9880752484 from your registered mobile,

IVR Password

To request for an IVR password from Citibank, send an SMS to 52484 from your registered mobile number.

Type OTP <space> last 4 digits of your Citibank Credit or Debit Card number.

You will soon receive the password on your mobile. This password will be valid for one time use only and will expire after 30 minutes of placing your request.

Using OTP

Please key in the OTP along with other card details required such as card number, expiry date and CVV number, for completing the transaction.

Validity of OTP

The OTP is a single use password valid for 30 minutes from the time of placing request.

Please note: Online transactions will continue to be authenticated by the Internet PIN (IPIN) and similarly Citi Phone banking will continue with Telephone PIN (TPIN).

The earlier online transactions, which were permissible with date of birth verification will now be replaced by OTP validation.
