Orissa Food Recipes
Sir today some guest are coming and they are from Orissa so I want to cook a Odisha dish in that case can you tell me the list of some Orrisa dishes and if possible recipe for one of them

Hey buddy the Odisha (formerly Orissa), an eastern Indian state on the Bay of Bengal, is known for its tribal cultures and its many ancient Hindu temples. Orrisa dishes Prawn Patato Curry(Chungudi Aloo Tarakari) Category : Veg Type : Odia Foods Patato Green Pea Curry without Onion and Garlic(Aalo Muttor Tarkari) Category : Veg Type : Odia Foods Muga Dali Kakara Category : Veg Type : Odia Foods Bhindi Kadhi Category : Veg Type : Odia Foods Bandha Kobi Machha chhinchada Category : Non-Veg Type : Odia Foods Dahi Ambula Khata Category : Veg Type : Odia Foods Gota Baigan Besara Category : Veg Type : Odia Foods Buta dali Nadia Bara Category : Veg Type : Odia Foods Prawn Patato Curry(Chungudi Aloo Tarakari) Dish Requirements Prawns - 500gm medium size Patato - 2 medium size boiled and cut into cube sizes Onions - 2 medium size coarsely grind Ginger Garlic paste - 1 1/2 tsp Tomatoes - 1medium size chopped Turmeric powder 1 tsp Coriander powder 1 teaspoon Coconut Milk -1/2 cup Water - 1cup Red Chilli Powder - 2tsp Oil Salt to taste Coriander leaves for garnishing Procedure : You have to clean the prawns and marinate it with salt and turmeric powder and keep aside for 10-15 mins Then heat oil in a non stick pan and fry that marinated prawns for 5-10 min and keep aside Then in same pan add some oil and fry that potato cubes till light brown and keep aside Then take some oil in pan and add onion paste and fry it for 4-5 min. Then ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, chilli powder,Garam Masala powder and fry for 4-5 min on medium heat. Then add chopped tomatoes, salt into it and fry it till oil separates from masala. Then add fried prawn, potatoes and fry it for 2-3 min. Then add coconut milk, water and mix well. Cover and cook on medium heat for 10-12 min. Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot. |
