The age eligibility requirement for Oil and Natural Gas Limited (ONGC) ‘Graduate Trainee’ Selection Test is as follows:

Candidate’s age limit should be:
Upper age limit for all posts except Drilling and Cementing is 30 years.
For the vacancies in Drilling and Cementing, maximum age limit is 28 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories can enjoy relaxation in age limit as per the notification.

Eligibility Criterion
For the post of Graduate Trainee in Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited, one is required to have a minimum of 60% marks in qualifying examination.

Reservoir: One who has completed post graduation in any of the following subjects is eligible to apply for this post.
• Geology
• Chemistry
• Geophysics
• Mathematics
• Petroleum Technology

One should have studied Physics or Mathematics in their Graduation.
Those who have completed graduation in Petroleum/ Chemical engineering can also apply.

Chemistry:
Graduation in chemical engineering or Masters’ degree in Chemistry is a must to apply.

Programming:
Graduates in Computer Engineering or post graduation in Computer science/ Computer Applications are eligible to apply.
Those with B level diploma certificate issued by the Department of Electronics, Government of India can also apply.

Production:
Chemical/ Petroleum or Mechanical Engineers can apply.

Drilling/ Cementing :
Graduation in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering is a must.

Mechanical:
One who has completed graduation in Mechanical Engineering can apply.

Electrical:
B.Tech/ B E in Electrical Engineering qualification is a must.
One should also have certificates of competency as Electrical Supervisor.

Electronics and Telecommunications:
Engineering Degree in Electronics and Telecommunications or Post graduation in Physics with Electronics can apply.

Instrumentation:
Graduation in Instrumentation Engineering is required.

Civil:
B E or B.Tech in Civil Engineers can apply

Transport:
Graduation in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering is the minimum qualification required to apply for this post.

Finance and Accounts:
Graduation in any discipline with CA or ICWA is a must.
One who has completed MBA with specialization in Finance can also apply.

Human Resources:
MBA with specialization in Human Resources or Post Graduation in Industrial Relations/ Personnel Management/ Labour Welfare can apply

Material Management:
Engineering degree in any of the following disciplines is required.

• Electrical

MBA graduates having specialization in Materials Management or Inventory Control can also apply for this post.
