Number of M.Tech seats in IIT Kharagpur

I have cleared my GATE Exams. I have applied for IIT Kharagpur for doing M.Tech over there. Can you please tell me how many seats are available for M.Tech course so that I could look after other colleges if it is not going up to the mark at IIT Kharagpur.

IIT Kharagpur M.Tech Admission Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ M.Sc or equivalent professional degrees (AMIE etc)

Candidates need to have at least 60% marks or CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 pointer scale.

It is 55% or 6 CGPA for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PD categories

IIT Candidates

If the aspirants of M.Tech admission at IIT Kharagpur have completed their Bachelor's degree from any of the IIT's and have secured a CGPA or CPI of 8 and above at their undergraduate level, then they would be eligible for admission in the institution, without appearing in GATE.

IIT Kharagpur M.Tech Selection Procedure

Candidates will be given seats on the basis of their scores in GATE.

Some courses will require them to appear for an interview which will have 30% weightage for selection.

The interview for shortlisted candidates of the four electrical engineering specializations (EE1, EE2, EE3, EE4) will be conducted from May 5 to 9, 2018 at IIT Kharagpur.
