Number of Attempts Allowed for IIT JAM Exam
I want to appear in IIT JAM Exam again so please tell me the number of attempts allowed for IIT JAM Exam and eligibility criteria of 2015 exam?

According to me there is no limitation in number of attempts to give IIT JAM Exam. You will easily appear in 2015 entrance exam and as many times as you want. IIT JAM is Joint Admission Test for Masters and it is conducted for admission in to the M. Sc, M. Sc - PhD, M. Sc - M. Tech, integrated PhD and other post graduate programs at all Indian Institutes of Technology and Indian Institutes of Science. Eligibility Criteria: (i) For IISc Bangalore Graduation in science with first class marks for Un – Reserved / OBC Category Candidates and Second class for SC / ST and PwD Category Candidates. (ii) For IIT Guwahati Graduation in science with at least: (a) 55% marks or 6.0 CPI for general and 50% marks or 5.5 CPI for reserved category in a scale of 10, without rounding off, in Major / Honors and Pass in all other subjects, including Languages and Subsidiaries. (b) 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CPI for general and 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CPI for reserved category in a scale of 10, without rounding off, taking into account all subjects, including Languages and Subsidiaries, all years combined. (iii) For IIT Indore Graduation in science with minimum of 60% marks for GEN / OBC ( 55% for SC / ST ) category in aggregate. Or A minimum CPI of 6.0 for GEN / OBC (5.5 for SC / ST) category on the scale of 10; with corresponding proportional requirements when the scales are other than on 10 (for example 4.8 for GEN / OBC category (4.4 for SC / ST) on a scale of 8 Or A first class as specified by the university / institute (iv) For all other IITs Graduation in science with at least 55% aggregate marks for general and 50% aggregate marks for reserved category without rounding off. |
