The National Students' Union of India is the student wing of the Indian National Congress party was established on 9 April 1971.

In 2016 elections Student from Delhi University was won the election in NSUI. The National Students Union of India won the posts of president and vice president the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad was bagged the secretary and joint secretary seats in the Delhi University Student Union polls.

The NSUIs Rocky Tuseed became the new president of the Delhi University Students Union, defeating ABVPs Rajat Choudhary and Parul Chauhan of the All India Students Association.

Last year in 2016 A total of 43% voter turnout was recorded in the student union polls held. The number of voters was increased by almost 10% since 2016.
