Re: MBA versus ms

MBA or MS degree are based on your interest field. You may select degree after your UG in which you completed your under graduation.

The decision to pursue a graduate degree is life changing, especially when you consider the time and the financial investment it takes.

As per the news report in 2012, 55% of prospective students were interested in pursuing an MBA degree, 28% both an MBA and a masters (non-MBA), and 18% consider only masters (non-MBA) programs.

The primary distinction between an MBA and an M.S. is breadth versus depth. An MBA degree offers a broader view of business management.

When it comes to deciding between a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science degree, you want to be sure you're making the right choice.

MBA helps young professionals and professionals to enhance and develop their management career.

On the other hand an M.S. degree is as accounting, human resources or information technology. An M.S. degree program helps you become a deep expert in one functional area.

MS degree is a great way to build up on the last 4 years youve invested in an engineering college.

This is in contrast to management courses where you are trying to bid adieu to the technical roles in the hope of moving to the next level.

Flexibility:

Suited for students who want greatest career flexibility that may lead to management or business ownership
Best option for students who are 100% clear about career path and want highly specialized knowledge in a specific area

Real word application:
Universally recognized value in business world
Specialties may not be as well-known except to some industry professionals

Focus area:
Multi-subject degree that covers topics from finance and leadership to technology and marketing

Highly specialized degree dives deeply into one topic, often preparing students for professional certifications like Certified Public Accountant (CPA),
Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Professional Management Institute (PMI) or
Professional in Human Resources (PHR)
