NIT Silchar Salary

Sir I want to know that what is the average salary package offered last year in 2015 so can you tell me the same

Hey the National Institute Of Technology Silchar is one of the 30 NITs of India and was established in 1967 as a Regional Engineering College in Assam.


Hey the average annual package offered to students was Rs. 4 LPA and highest annual package was Rs. 9.5 LPA during the campus placement.


Salary offered Branch Wise

Civil Engineering:

Highest package was Rs. 6 LPA and average package was Rs. 5 LPA.


Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering:

Around 30 percent of students have been placed in Core companies – like Siemens, SKF, ABB etc., and the rest of the students have been placed in IT sector.

Computer Science and Engineering:

The ,highest package offered at Rs. 35 LPA by Work Applications, and average salary of Rs. 6 LPA.

Electronics and Communication Engineering:

The Highest package of Rs. 9 LPA was offered by BhramHos Aerospace.

Philips, Nokia, Reliance Jio were among the major recruiters this year, offering an average salary of Rs. 5 LPA.

Mechanical Engineering:

The highest package was offered by ITC at Rs. 9.5 LPA and average salary was Rs. 5 LPA.

ITC, Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Daimler Commercial Vehicles, Mahindra & Mahindra, BhramHos Aerospace, TATA Motors, TATA Hitachi, Siemens, etc. were the major recruiters this year.


Electrical Engineering:

highest package was Rs. 6.5 LPA and average package was Rs. 4.5 LPA. A total of 60 percent students have been placed in IT and 17 percent in Core-sector companies.
