CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) is conducting NET (National Eligibility Test) on behalf of UGC (University Grants Commission) from 2014. This test is for formative the eligibility of candidates for the position of Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellow and Assistant Professor both. Qualification- The Applicants should have secured at least 55% marks at Maters degree or equivalent level from a known University / Institution approved by UGC. The Applicants who have appeared or will be appearing at the final year examination of Masters Degree are also eligible to apply. Age limit: Age limit for spirants applying for the position of Junior Research Fellow is 28 years as on 1st of December, 2014 and there is no upper age limit for the aspirants applying for the position of Assistant Professor. Pattern of Examination- NET will comprise of three papers. Objective type questions will be asked in all three papers. Three papers will be divided into two sessions. First session will include Paper-I and Paper-II, each paper will be of 1 ¼ hours. Paper-I will include 60 questions out of which candidates have to attempt any 50 and Paper-II will include 50 compulsory questions.
