Institution of Mechanical Engineers (India),Navi Mumbai is Recognised by the Ministry of HRD , Govt. of India .

The syllabus of following Degree & Diploma Examinations in Mechanical Engineering conducted by the I.Mech.E(I) are approved by the AICTE :

1) Diploma Level : Technician Engineers Examination [T.Eng.]

2) Degree Level : Chartered Engineers Examination [A.M.I.Mech.E(I)]

The AICTE have no direct powers & is not authorised to recognized the Technical Courses organized by the Technical Professional Societies in the Country.

The MHRD,Govt. of India decides the recognition of courses after getting the syllabus of these courses approved by the AICTE.
